NCC names Tony Mathias Director of Solicitations & Major Accounts.

National Car Charging (NCC), the nation’s most experienced and trusted EV charging infrastructure provider, is proud to announce the addition of Tony Mathias as Director of Solicitations and Major Accounts. A dynamic and strategic leader with over 20 years of success in sales, marketing, and business development, Tony brings deep expertise in driving growth, cultivating high-impact partnerships, and navigating complex procurement landscapes. In this new role, he will help NCC expand its national footprint and deepen relationships with major clients across the public and private sectors.

In this newly created role, Tony will lead NCC’s strategy for responding to federal, state, and local solicitations, while also overseeing the growth and management of the company’s most strategic accounts. His appointment underscores NCC’s ongoing investment in accelerating the transition to electric transportation and delivering reliable, scalable EV infrastructure solutions that align with each client’s long-term sustainability and operational goals—across both public and private sectors.

“Tony brings not only a sharp business development mind, but also a rare talent for building high-impact, cross-sector relationships,” said Jim Burness, CEO of National Car Charging. “As the demand for EV infrastructure surges, his leadership will be a catalyst for smart, strategic growth—ensuring NCC continues to scale with purpose, precision, and integrity.”

Before joining NCC, Tony held senior business development roles in the ed tech industry, where he consistently drove growth through strategic partnerships, data-informed strategies, and a client-first approach. A long-time champion of renewable energy and transportation electrification, he brings a fresh, cross-industry perspective to the EV space—rooted in innovation, relationship-building, and results. This unique blend of experience makes him exceptionally well-equipped to support NCC’s diverse client base, including municipalities, school districts, universities, utilities, and large-scale commercial enterprises.

“I’m excited to join a team that’s not just growing in the EV space, but doing it with real purpose, agility, and integrity,” said Mathias. “What drew me to NCC was their brand-agnostic approach and unwavering focus on doing what’s right for the client—every time. I’m looking forward to helping public agencies and major organizations build charging infrastructure that’s not only reliable today, but ready for the demands of tomorrow.”

A proud New York City native and graduate of The Colorado College, Tony brings a unique blend of professional expertise and personal passion to his role. A devoted husband and father and long-time advocate for sustainable innovation, he’s also a committed EV driver who believes strongly in the future of clean transportation. Now based at National Car Charging’s Denver headquarters, Tony will support the company’s continued growth—offering strategic insight, strong leadership, and a collaborative approach that aligns with NCC’s mission and values.
